Who runs it
This site is independent and is not run by a clinical psychologist. It began as practice tests built for one applicant going through the process, because nothing available explained the answers.

Course pages change every autumn, and what each course assesses is spread across 30 websites. So each course has a page here that quotes its own words, links to them and says when we last checked. We aim to recheck each record at least every six months.
Practice covers the tests and interviews courses use: the situational judgement test, research methods, deductive reasoning, research critique and interview practice. None of it is a course’s own test.
What the judgement rests on
Every explanation names the standard, guidance or law its ranking rests on. Most are the HCPC’s standards and its guidance for students, and the BPS Code of Ethics and Conduct and Practice Guidelines. The standards page lists the main ones.

What has been put right, with the day each fix went live.
It said the Scottish pay circular gives no years between pay points, so there was no three-year figure for Scotland. Its Annex C gives them: two years at entry, then three at the next point. The page now gives about £132,000 over three years at 2026/27 rates.
It said that of those who complete the doctorate, 90.5% were employed as a clinical psychologist within twelve months of qualifying. The figure counts only those who completed NHS training in 2024 and returned data. The page now says so, from the Clearing House page that gives the base.
Nothing on this site said that Southampton requires a driving licence. Its course page now quotes the rule with its entry requirements.
, FAQ
It said that results kept in your browser could not be seen by anyone else. Anyone who uses the same browser can see them. The answer now says so, and links to the page that removes them.

On 22 October it still offered the lower fee for applying early, whose last day was 21 October. It now drops that offer once its last day has passed.
, Exeter
It said that Exeter’s Casper, an online situational judgement test, was for 2027 entry. Exeter’s own page sets it for the 2027/28 admissions cycle, which is 2028 entry. For 2027 entry the Clearing House lists Exeter’s untimed questionnaires.
Six of the eight model answers had faults: one read a p-value as the chance that nothing had changed, and three missed a flaw in their abstract. All six were rewritten.
Its record said applicants had reported a situational judgement element there. That traced to another preparation site’s blog post, not to applicants, and had no source, so it was removed.
It said that at the bottom of Band 6 in London a trainee is paid the floor of the high cost area supplement. At 2026/27 rates the percentage of pay is above the floor in every zone, so the percentage applies. The sentence was removed; the figures under it were right.
It called 2022 five years before 2026. It is four years. The page now names the year.

It said courses confirm short-listing by around the middle of March. The Clearing House’s date is 2 April 2027. The answer was removed, and the timeline gives the date with its source.
, Salomons
It said only Edinburgh names a situational judgement test, and told Salomons applicants that nothing here matched their test. Salomons’ own page describes one for 2026 entry, in which applicants rank responses, and says its 2027 tests are under review.
Its record listed a situational judgement test reported by applicants. Two searches found no source for it, so it was removed.

It said the clinical judgement in the practice is reviewed by people who have completed the training. No such review had taken place, so the claim was taken out.
It opened “Every course interviews”. The records show an interview for 29 of the 30; Coventry and Warwick has not published its process. The page now counts from the records.
, About
It said every explanation cites the HCPC or BPS standards by section. Then, 10 of the 82 scenarios gave a numbered section and the rest named the document. The page now says so.

They said no course names a situational judgement test. Edinburgh’s own application page says every applicant “will be asked to complete an online Situational Judgment Task”.
