Before interview
The course is unusually explicit: “Selection is by application and interview only; we have no plans to introduce any extra tests at screening, short-listing, or interview stages.” Three people are interviewed per place.
The course states it uses no short-listing test.
At interview
Two panels. One of academic and clinical psychologists, where candidates are given one question a week in advance to prepare, then asked about clinical work, research and critical appraisal, and personal, professional and social awareness. The second is up to three people with experience of services as service users or carers, to whom candidates give a brief informal spoken presentation on a topic supplied a week in advance.

Practice here will not help with the test
If you have applied here
This course states it uses no short-listing test, and its interview does not use scenario tasks. Practice here will not move the needle.
What to do
- Read the course’s selection page and prepare for the competencies its panels actually assess.
Where this site does not help
- There is no test to prepare for, and this course’s published interview does not use clinical scenarios. Your effort is better spent on the application form and on the competencies its panels ask about.
Practice material here reflects what research and first-hand accounts indicate these assessments are like. No course publishes its test, so nothing is confirmed and this site claims no inside knowledge. Not affiliated with University of Leeds, the Clearing House, the BPS or the HCPC.
